BRING YOUR WORK HOME WITH YOU.

We can have an idea for work at home, whether trying to go to sleep or in the shower. So, we should be able to learn something at work and apply it at home. Out of all the tools here and on our website at FRAKXION.com/tools you should be able to find an activity that you can bring home and try with your partner or family.

My family had fun the other day playing the Hidden Object drawing activity to work on our listening skills––and have a few laughs together.

My wife and I, and one of our children, have our own variations of the 64-Chart. As a couple, it helped us talk about subjects we don’t typically bring up because it was uncomfortable and not a part of our norm. But, making a shared 64-Chart got us to work through the conversations and get onto the same page. 

For my child, who was nine years old when we started this, the 64-Chart helped develop a sense of vision for the future, imagination, purpose, and hope, which led to plotting steps to achieve the things that mattered, not to mention reframing their own perception of the meaning or quality of their life. Since then, the items have evolved, but the tool gave them a sense of power over their own destiny and these few moments changed the expectations I had for myself as a parent. My sense of purpose and responsibility took a new shape, with the realisation of just how far my contributions could impact others, even future generations. How I parent, what I choose to teach, how I lead by example. These are all tools I equip my own kids with that will not only empower each of them to live their best life, but they could pass that same knowledge on to their own kids, and so on. Most importantly, they can learn from life and embrace being “1-in-100-billion”.

What to do:

❶ Review all of the tools.
❷ Choose just one tool to do yourself but apply it to your home life in some way.
❸ Complete the tool on your own.
❹ Review it with someone close to you to get their input.
❺ Reflect on how the tools might be able to help you enhance not only your work life, but your whole life.
❻ Try using one of the tools with a friend or family member to see how the results change when you collaborate with someone else outside of work.
