UNCOVER YOUR SOURCE OF PRIDE.
Taking the time to think about your life up to this moment and making a list of fifty things you are proud of can be a difficult task. For most, the list gets going, and you’ll seem to run out of ideas somewhere along the way. Don’t give up; they are in there. You just might need to dig a little deeper and take your time.
Making the list is only the beginning. Once you have the list in front of you, you might discover something about yourself.
What to do:
❶ Make a list of fifty things, moments, people, achievements, or experiences you are proud of in your life.
❷ If you get stuck, think about how some of the items made you feel, and try remembering other times you felt that same way. If doing this activity as a group, sharing some examples together could spark additional ideas for you or others.
❸ Once your list reaches at least fifty, review the list again and try to identify if there are any common reasons many of these things happened to you. Were they because of you, someone else, or a circumstance? Is there a why or how that came before it, that without it, many of the things on your list may have never happened? There could be one prominent factor or a few different reasons.
❹ If you can define a catalyst to many of the things that you are proud of, try to implement a change into your routines that pushes you outside of your comfort zone to encourage new proud moments to add to your next Fifty Things list.
