The fractional Chief Growth Officer (CGO) is responsible for everything that falls under the purview of a CMO but extends to also cover sales and product, in addition to marketing. Sales and marketing departments when managed in silos can develop a rift that drives them apart. When the product (design of product, service, and customer experience) is not approached collaboratively with sales and marketing all three are out of sync and will struggle to perform effectively. The CGO will create alignment and build synergies between product, sales and marketing to increase overall potential.
